Upmarket literary fiction set in the years leading up to 9/11, The Mayor of Bleecker Street follows Chase Allen, a young writer trying to outrun his past and build a life with the woman he loves. When he befriends Bobby Bonanno—a washed-up boxer with his own regrets—Chase is forced to confront the patterns he’s been carrying for years. The story explores love, loss, mentorship, and the gradual process of becoming someone better than you were taught to be.
