Don Draper would say, if you don’t like what’s being said, change the conversation. Franke Underwood says, “If you don’t like how the table is set, turn over the table.” So how do you deal with bad mojo?
We’ve all had days where things just don’t seem right. Hell, I’m having one of those weeks. But how do we deal with them?
A friend of mine takes a shower. When he’s having a bad day, he just takes a shower, changes things up.
Some people like to go for a run, take a walk, or hop in the car for a long drive.
I like to deal with it depending on what’s dragging me down and what the situation is. If I actually can pinpoint the issue, I’ll revel in it. Otherwise, it just depends. Maybe I’ll crack a beer and fire up the grill?
The bottom line here is you can relate life to a baseball season. You’re never as good as your best day. You’re never as bad as your worst.
No matter how great things seem right now, remember that tomorrow will bring a whole new set of challenges. And visa versa.
