Content is king. I know that’s a commonly used phrase, but that’s because it’s true. When more than 75 percent of Internet users conduct online research before making purchases, someone needs to provide them with that information. And if they’re researching your product or service, shouldn’t you be the one providing the content?
Content should work for you, not against you. And the only way to truly determine if it’s working is to create measurable systems through which your content is delivered. My philosophy is to locate the areas where content will have maximum impact for your business. I do this by recognizing the needs of your target audiences, devising plans to influence those audiences, and then executing the plans.
The old marketing playbook is broken. Now, more than 86% of TV watchers have skipped commercials, 44% of direct mail is never opened, and the “Do Not Call” list contains more than 200 million names. Not to say these methods don’t have their purpose, because they do, but our marketing culture is changing. Instead of interrupting people, we are setting up pathways for them to come to us by providing valuable content and information. This is the gist of inbound marketing.
I am a certified inbound marketing specialist through HubSpot.
My clients like witty copy, but they like profits and communicating with their target audiences more. Need a sharp-minded, no-nonsense voice? That’s my specialty. From foodservice to healthcare, my clients comprise a wide range of industries.
Fees can be calculated on a per-project basis or at an hourly rate. An up-front deposit of one-half the total fee is requested from all new clients and all jobs totaling more than $2000. Rush fees may be applied to any project with a deadline requiring immediate turnaround.
Let’s talk briefly about your project and set up a time for a formal consultation. It’s important to make sure I understand the scope of your project, and it’s important for you to understand how I will approach it. Consultations are free but are often the most valuable exchanges in the copywriting process.
Time spent on a project depends on the project itself and your needs as a business owner. Quick turnaround times are possible, but please understand the more time I have to research and develop a strategy, the better the final result.
I am based in Boulder and the Greater Denver Area, but in addition to the Front Range region of Colorado, I am also available for projects in other cities and states. Currently, I have clients all across the country, and though I typically work offsite, I also enjoy working onsite in order to learn more about your business. For my out-of-state clients, onsite visits are certainly possible if applicable.

Though by no means an expert, I have also accumulated a fair amount of design experience – from flier and postcard layouts to graphics for consumer packaged goods. My knowledge of design concepts strengthens my copywriting, which adds additional value to your project. I am also a photographer and painter and have contributed many pieces to my commercial copywriting portfolio.
